Christmas is on the road at Magical Circus!

Hi everybody, we had our first Christmas Mini Circus Show yesterday, 1st of December (2009) at Guardian Angels R.C. Primary School in Bury. We had a great time and the children had a fantastic time! We only had 60 children (the little ones from nursery and reception) because the older ones went to see the Pantomime. It was really reassuring when the Head Master came out at the end of our show too book us for next years Christmas party...this time for the entire school. We are already looking forward to it, but before that we are going to enjoy this years Christmas run!

Hello everyone!

Hello everybody, we are Melanie and Angelo and like everyone else we are looking forward to the season of joy!

We have been entertaining since the year 2000 in the UK but before that we both worked in Circus in Europe, South East Asia and South America with our last contract being Circus Tihany with which we toured all over Brazil before deciding to start our own entertainment and workshops business here in the UK.

Melanie is half English and half German (excellent combination of efficiency and hard work; in my opinion) and I Angelo am full bodied Chilean like the Merlot but not as relaxing.

Our services involve entertainment, circus skills workshops and theatrical and media make-up workshops (gory effects) and we do have loads of fun!

We are preparing the final touches of the new 'Mini Circus Show Christmas Special ' and we are excited for this years run. If you want to know more about what we do please visit us here at our corporate website or here at MagicalCircus.co.uk our main site.

Finally we are very happy to join Shows4schools Blog and hopefully you will find it useful and informative. Don't forget you can follow this Blog by clicking the 'Follow' link above on the left hand corner.

Regards!

Angelo (and Melanie)

This was a superb Show by the 'Schools Out Club' at Mill Dam J. & I. School in Pontefract West Yorkshire. We spent four full great days with them and in the final day they put a superb performance for their parents, relatives and friends.

This is us Melanie and Angelo and we are looking forward to meet you soon!

Shape and Space Maths Workshops Tour South Africa

I recently returned from 2 maths weeks in South Africa.

I was invited out by AIMSSEC, the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences School Enrichment Centre.

I spent two weeks performing my maths inspiring shape and space show for Township learners, refugees and others.

We gave primary and middle school assemblies, in the townships as well as the Scibono Discovery Centre and the MTN Science Centre. We held several maths workshops for teachers, using the follow up pack developed for the trip.

It was such a success, both Julius and I are going back next year for 5 weeks!!!

A good start to Autumn Term

We have kicked off the new school year with shows in primary and secondary schools (and a youth group) in Hampshire, Dorset, Essex and Surrey. We are booking up quickly, especially for Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) in March 2010. See our schools website www.sciencediscoverydome.co.uk for more details!

Feedback received last week from a school in Hampshire:

Children and staff all really enjoyed the day. They learnt a lot and said it was their favourite part of the topic.

Earlier feedback:

We were delighted with the presentation, it supported the children’s learning and even form an adult point of view was amazing. Thank you.
